Community
As the church family and as part of our village community, here are some of the things that we are regularly involved in.
Monthly Village Lunch
St. Andrew’s, jointly with the Village Hall, serves lunches cooked at the Hall by a rota of volunteers from the community. The lunch is an opportunity for people to meet others and enjoy the company. We are now in our sixth year; the lunches are very popular and booking is essential.
Village Hog Roast
The annual Village Hog Roast, organised by St Andrew’s, is an event for all the family. Held at the Village Hall, the Hog Roast is packed full of stalls, sideshows, music, dancing and, of course, refreshments. An evening of family fun is guaranteed!
The Big Breakfast
The annual Big Breakfast, held in the Village Hall each November, is always a well-supported event with the chance to enjoy good food while indulging in some pre-Christmas shopping-and of course catching up with friends and neighbours.
Flower Festival
St. Andrew’s has held a biennial Flower Festival for more than thirty years. A talented team of parishioners put in an awful lot of time, research, inspiration and creativity to produce some stunning floral arrangements and displays.
